Byres and shelter sheds (partly eye catcher), now stables,
with boundary wall attached. Late C18. Coursed rubble with
monolithic stone piers. Felt-covered roof with raised
ventilators and small pantiled roof on pent addition to east
range, Welsh slate roof with stone ridge on south range.
Coursed stone boundary wall with flat stone coping. L-plan to
south of Dutch barn (qv), boundary wall continuing north
alongside main road and linking with north barns (qv).
South range: one storey, 8:4 bays. North elevation facing yard
has 4-bay range at right with round monolithic piers on
chamfered round plinths supporting monopitch roof against west
crow-stepped gable separating this from left part. Partly
renewed in brick, and battlemented right return west gable
facing Auckland Park. 8 bays set back at left have similar
piers and lower monopitch roof.
Adjacent east range breaks forward at left, set against high
estate wall of coursed squared stone with flat coping, and has
square piers with later blocking to form stables; small pent
addition set back at left has pantiled roof. High estate wall
facing road on east is ramped up to form rear wall of east
range and continues to join barn and stable range (qv) to
south-east of farmhouse (qv).
