THE BUILDINGS AS THEY LOOK TODAY,QUITE SMART.WHEN I LIVED THERE IN THE 30s 40s THE BRICKWORK WAS BLACK WITH SOOT AS WERE THE SURROUNDING HOUSES.(SEE COMMENTS)
