GV II

Semi-detached villas. c. 1837-42. Stucco over brick;
Welsh-slate truncated hipped roof (and truncated half-domed
roof to large bow windows), all with projecting eaves, and
stucco centre and end stacks. Side-hall entrance to outer bay.
Two-storeys, two windows each including full-height and very
broad bow window with 4/4 sashes with 2/2 side-lights flanked
by narrower blind windows to ground and 1st floors.
Ground-floor entrance has porch with square piers and
entablature. Doorway flanked by pilasters; panelled door with
side-lights and 4-paned rectangular over-light. Entablature
detailing of porch continues horizontally to form elaborate
1st-floor storey band to bow window. Narrower 6/6 sashes to
1st floor over entrance. No. 3 with 1-storey extension to
right of entrance. No. 4 with wooden addition to rear roof
slope.
