War memorial. At the corner of Highbury Fields between
Highbury Crescent and Highbury Place. 1905. By Bertram
Mackennal. Plinth of granite, pedestal of Portland stone with
bronze plaques, the cornice to the south loaded with emblems
of war in bronze, the bronze statue above a female figure
holding up a wreath. The memorial is flanked by two cast-iron
cannon which may not form part of the original memorial.
