Porters' Lodge. 1906 by Basil Champneys. Brick with plain
tiled roof. Reduced Queen Anne vernacular on Champney's
favourite domestic box-plan derived from his Hall Oak,
Hampstead (1881). Square. One storey and dormer attic 3-bay
rounded arcade faces street (north side), on rear wall of
which is a central door flanked by one casement right and
left. Casements to returns and rear. Above string course
elevation is tile-hung. Hipped roof with cluster stack at apex
with 4 flues. In each roof slope is one large dormer under
segmental roof.
