ILMINSTER

Cottage. C17, extended mid C19 and c1980. C17 timber-frame
with brick nogging to left return; limestone rubble to ground
floor with incised stucco above; pantile roof with stacks to
left-of-centre and right gable end. 2-unit extended to
double-depth plan in mid C19. 2 storeys; 2-window range. All
windows are C19 three-light sashes, with a C20 planked door to
the left. The left return (west) forms one side of a passage
to a rear range; it is timber-framed with brick nogging.
INTERIOR: totally altered except for a framed panel to the
right of the door which has traces of wall painting.
