Dwelling over shop. 1824-30, ground floor gutted late C20.
Said to be by Amon Wilds and Charles Augustus Busby. Stucco
over brick and rubble, hipped or pyramid concrete tile roof
concealed behind parapet. Plan: curved corner frontage at the
junction of Western Road and Upper Market Street. 3 storeys, 1
bay; Ionic pilasters to curved corner and framing window bay
onto Western Road, plinths cut by inserted fascia of 36-pane
bow window with shallow half-dome, ground floor gutted by late
C20 shopfront. Left return on to Upper Market Street of narrow
bay windows with C20 glazing, late C20 panel door below,
approached by flight of steps. Included for group value.
