Bakery with shop and cafe. Early C18, possibly with earlier
origins, with C19 and C20 alterations. Stucco to front, left
side wall timber-framed; Welsh slate parapeted roof, hipped to
left, to front range; no stack visible to front. Narrow front
to Market Place with long range of buildings containing
restaurant and bakery to rear.
3-storey 1-window range. First floor has one 8/8-pane sash
window, second floor has one C19 4/8-pane horned sash window.
Ground floor has projecting C20 timber shopfront with plate
glass windows, glazed door and deep parapet over. Coped
parapet.
INTERIOR partially inspected; C20 staircase from ground to
first floors, early C18 oak open well staircase with 2 turned
balusters per tread, shaped cheek-pieces, ridged and corniced
handrail from first to second floors; ground floor front has 2
unchamfered cross-axial beams supported on 2 wall posts with
chamfered girding beam over to left side; first floor front
has similar arrangement of beams and wall posts, beam to rear
chamfered with step stop to left, first floor centre room has
chamfered plastered beam with run out stop, early C19
four-panel door with segmental-arched head with moulded
architrave with reeded pilasters to left and right, first
floor rear has C20 interior.
Inspection of rear ranges externally or internally not
possible, rear wing noted as having area of timber-framing
with brick infill to right side.
