Coal Taxpost. Before 1861. Stone Obelisk, of about 14 feet high, bearing carved cartouche with arms of the City of London and the motto 'Domine dirigie nos'. This type oJ Coal Taxpost was erected on railways. Classified as number 206 type 4b in The Coal Duties of the City of London and their Boundary Marks (1972). Martin Nail.
