11/269 Gough monument, in churchyard,
about lm south-east of south-east
corner of south porch, Church of
St. Peter and St. Paul

GV II

Chest tomb; probably about 1833; stone. Flat lid, moulded edge,
slightly indented ends on long face. Sides raised edge to panel,
with egg-and-dart moulding: centre swells out beyond frame. Ends
elongated pilasters with raised panel on stem, egg-and-dart edge
moulding. All on moulded plinth. Various inscriptions, probably
erected for William Gough, died 1833; also records Robert Gough,
died 1792 and his wife 1778, latest 1886.
