SO 70 NW AWRE AWRE

4/91 New House Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Late C18. Thin bedded coursed rubble, Welsh slate roof. Long
shallow property with continuous lean-to extension on road side; cut stone
stacks to one gable and at ridge near right end. Main front, away from road:
three storeys 4-windowed, but 5-windowed to top floor, otherwise one + 3.
Ground floor, new casement, broad plank door under deep stone lintol, one
3-light sash with glazing bars each side of broad plank door with deep stone
lintol, flat hood on brackets; first floor, 4 sashes with glazing bars, flat
stone lintols; second floor, four 2-light casements, plus one small one-light
casement, set over first bay containing 3-light sash below. Unit to road,
reputedly cider making area, several two light wood casements.
