BARTON ON THE HEATH SP2532 10/14 Farmhouse and attached outbuilding range approx 60m ESE of chancel of Church of St Lawrence

GV II

Farmhouse. Late C17/early C18. Squared coursed limestone with quoins and coped gables. Stone-slate and slate roofs with stone end stacks, L-shaped plan. 2 storeys plus attic; 2-window range of 3-light casements with wood lintels. 6-panelled door in early C19 rendered 2-storey range. C18 stone gabled range of one storey and attic extends to rear. Also to rear a stone outbuilding range, altered C19. Interior: noted as having chamfered spine beam and large open fireplace with timber bressumer. Outbuilding noted as having chamfered spine beam.
