House. 1539; raised and such altered mid/late C19. Coursed squared ironstone
rubble with irregular quoins. Slate hipped roof; stone ridge and end stacks.
U-plan, with wings to rear. 2 storeys and attic; 3-window range. Entrance has
chamfered 4-centre arched doorway with C20 part-glazed door. Round relieving
arch enclosing datestone with initials S DMD. Renewed 3-light stone mullioned
window with hood mould on left and 3-light C19 casements have horizontal glazing
bars and painted wood lintels; first floor window on left at higher level. Left
return side mid/late C19. Ashlar. 3-window range. Central leaded half-glazed
4-panelled door and overlight. 3-light mullioned windows with central transom.
First floor has 3-light and central 2-light casements with horizontal glazing
bars, Stone lintels with keystones. Right return side has long irregular wing.
C20 recessed porch. 2 and 3-light mullioned windows, mostly renewed; some have
hood moulds. Right end has chamfered doorway. Interior not inspected. Probably
built for the Davies family. Included for group value.
