Farmhouse. C16/early C17, with C19 and mid C20 alterations. Regular coursed
ironstone. Old and C20 tile roof; brick ridge and end stacks. 3-unit plan. 2
storeys; 4-window range. Part-glazed mid C20 door and overlight with hood. C20
wood mullioned and transomed window on left. Mid C20 steel casements. Lead
latticed glazing throughout. Left return side has C20 ground floor window. First
floor has old chamfered stone single light. Rear to yard has stone mullioned
windows with hood moulds. Low gabled projection on left of one storey and attic
has 2-light windows. Large C19 brick outshut with catslide roof. Plank door in
right return side. C19 two-light roof dormer. Roof on right cuts back to 2-light
window. Main range has 4-light window; 3-light window above without hood mould.
Small C19 brick lean-to on right. Interior; broad-chamfered ceiling beams. Room
on left has large inglenook fireplace with broad-chamfered bressumer, stone
seats and bread oven. Another ground floor room has a blocked open fireplace.
Old plank and 6-panelled doors. First floor room on left has chamfered 4-centre
arched stone fireplace.
