Formerly one large house, now divided. C17. Believed to have been
built by the Kaye family of Woodsome, for the Broadhead family. Ashlar
front with dressed stone sides. Plinth. Stone slate roof with hollow
chamfered gable copings on cut kneelers. Central ashlar stack (altered).
Finials to apexes and kneelers. Two storeys with continuous throated
drip mould between floors. Two-gabled front. Central doorway with
moulded surround. Plaque over and part set into the deep door lintel.
Each gable has one 10-light mullioned and transomed double chamfered
window, to each floor, those to 1st floor with hood mould. Each gable
apex has blocked double chamfered 2-light window with hood mould. The
right side elevation has a later doorway, and double chamfered windows
including one 6-light mullioned and transomed window, and one 5-light
window. Left side has good central ashlar stack with moulded base and
cap. Further to left is a later C18 addition or alteration, at one
time probably 2 dwellings. Two central doorways with chamfered reveals,
the one to left slightly altered. 2 & 3-light windows to 1st floor,
altered.

C19 addition to rear.

Stop chamfered beams to No. 2.

Interior of No. 1 not inspected.
