SWINBROOK AND WIDFORD SWINBROOK SP2812 14/138 Swinbrook Manor House 12/09/55 (Formerly listed as Manor House and Barns in Farmyard) GV II Manor house. C16, with C18 alterations and additions to rear and left, C20 alterations. Stone uncoursed rubble; stone slate complex roof; various stone stacks. Probably double-ended hall-house plan. Single storey and attic; 2-bay central range with 2-storey cross-wings to left and right. Plank door with lean-to porch to left of central range. Sash door to right of cross-wing at right. C20 porch with C20 plank door to left of cross-wing at left. Irregular fenestration of casements, except C20 two-light stone mullion and transom window to right of cross-wing at left. 2 gabled half-dormers to centre. Cross-gables to cross-wings. Probably C18 cross-wing to left, single storey and attic. Irregular fenestration of casements. Interior not inspected but likely to be of interest.
