Originally one house. Late C17. 2 storeys plus attics in 2 gables.
Ashlar, stone-tiled roof to No 4, modern pantiles to No 5, Left- hand
gable has 2 windows, sashes, glazing bars intact, and architrave surrounds.
Right-hand gable has 1 similar window. 5 windows on first floor, also
similar but with flat cornices over. The ground-floor is centrally divided
by a passage-way with arched entrance. To left of opening is a plain
square-headed doorway and small shop-window, and to the right a large
shop-window. Access to the shop is by a plain doorway in side of passage.

All the listed buildings in Church Street the Chantry Little Chantry,
Barton Orchard and the Catholic Church of St Thomas More, Market Street
form a group with No 7 and Nos 9 to 19 Barton Orchard, Nos 5 and 6 and
27 to 31 (consec) and wall Newtown.
