Farmhouse. C17, mostly rebuilt late C18 to early C19, restored 1980's.
Timber-frame with rendered infill, refronted in brick, with graduated slate
roof to front, plain slate roof to rear. T-plan, rear wing to east of C17,
cross-wing of C18 aligned north/south. Main chimney stack axially placed
towards north end of C18 range with brick shaft. East front of two storeys
with dentilled brick cornice. Four windows, 16-pane boxed sashes under
rubbed brick heads with stone sills. Ground floor has boxed glazing bar
sashes. The central entrance has pedimented and pilastered doorcase with
a six-panel door within a C19 open trellis porch. Framing of rear wing,
four square panels with gable-end truss of intersecting diagonal bracing
forming lozenges. Interior: has a late C18 to early C19 staircase with
stick balusters. A number of rooms have simple plaster cornices.
