Late C18. Three storey, 3 bay town house of red brick in Flemish bond. Modillion
bracket stone cornice with brick parapet. Low gable end slate roof with stone
coped gable ends, flanking chimney stacks. Upper floors have revealed C19 sashes,
the centre windows narrower; painted grooved stone flat arches with moulded,
capped keystones; painted block stone cills. Ground floor has central doorway
flanked by late C19 shop fronts, pilastered with console brackets flanking fascias.
The original house entrance to centre has door of 5 fielded panels with semi-circular
fanlight, revealed in 2 orders with doorhead moulding carried out as impost
to link with caps of Doric column; well proportioned doorcase with open bracketed
pediment.
