Cart shed and barn. Probably c1837. Cart shed has brick walls and slate
roof with gablet ends. One storey and loft. Plat band at loft floor
level. On ground floor, 5 segmental arches on brick piers, the centre 2
buttressed. In loft, one loft door, one casement with cast iron glazing,
under gabled dormers. Loft floor approached by external stairs at right end
- balustrade wall of Flemish style. Collar beam roof with shaped curved
braces - the principal rafters carried on wall posts. Barn attached at
right angles, has brick walls and half hipped slate roof. Hipped cart porch
- doors replaced by corrugated iron. Some slit openings and later windows
at rear. Roof of 5 bays, of simple king post construction.
