Part of the former New Inn. C18. Main elevation has rendered walls and tiled roof with stone course at eaves. Two storeys and attic. Ground floor has modern shop front. First floor has 2 double hung sash windows. Attic has one dormer with hipped roof and casements. North elevation, facing yard, has exposed brick walls with plat band at first floor level. Ground floor has 3 blocked windows with segmental arches. First floor has one double hung sash window with glazing bars and one earlier timber mullioned and transomed window with lead lights. Large modern extension at rear. First floor now a flat, No 15 High Street. The room facing the Square has fine C18 raised panelling. Semi-circular niche with carved ornament in the head, and shaped shelves, framed by moulded pilasters. Moulded ceiling cornice, raised panelled door, C18 fire-place surround (interior blocked). C18 stairs to attic, with turned balusters and moulded handrail. RCHM Monument 34.
