Lower Farmhouse

GV II

Stable dated and initialled 'W.B / 1845' on datestone at the east
gable end. Coursed squared and dressed limestone; stone slate
roof. Rectangular plan, partly extended out to form a lean-to on
the south side. Stables attached to the north-east corner, not of
special interest. Stone steps up to a central plank door; similar
plank door below the landing to this door; single 2-light casement
with a flat-arched head to the left of the stone steps; similar
casement to the lean-to. Flat coping to the gable ends. Interior
not inspected. (Building undergoing alteration at the time of
resurvey - September 1986). Part of group with cart store (q.v.).
