Inn. Early C19. Coursed and squared rubble, wide bracketted eaves, gabled slate
roof, small late C19 brick stacks.
Plan and development: central hall with staircase, opening to each side into a
reception room, 1 now a bar, 2 smaller service rooms opening off the rear of this
hall. Carriageway to right with room above.
Exterior: 2 storeys, 3:1 window, mullioned and transomed 2-light casements, close-
set glazing bars. Handsome doorway to the centre of the left 3 bays, panelled door
with a fanlight, panelled ingo, doorcase in wood with pilasters, entablature, and a
cornice. Segmental-headed carriage opening to right of ground floor, C20 slatted
wooden gates.
Interior: entrance hall with a fine C19 staircase with turned newels and a moulded
handrail.
