Pair of cottages, No 1 on right No 2 on left. Described from
garden. Renovated C20 under patronage of Lawrence Johnston.
Limestone rubble with thatched roofs and weather boarding around
dormer windows. Artificial stone stacks at gable ends and off-
centre left. One storey and attic with 3 dormers with thatched
hoods and C20, 3-light windows with glazing bars. Ground floor
windows C20 casements, one 3-light stone-mullioned window with
stopped hood, one 4-light flat chamfered stone-mullioned window
with stopped hood and king mullion in gable end right with 3-light
stone-mullioned window over. All the stone-mullioned windows have
leaded lights. National Trust property.
