A Grade II Listed Building in Syston, Leicestershire

10, The Green, Syston

Uploader's Comments

Cottage of 1½ storeys, with core probably of C17, though altered. Painted render over brick and possible timber frame on a rubble plinth with thatched roof. Doorway has an architrave with consoles supporting a flat canopy, and a boot scraper set in the plinth to the right. Three eyebrow dormers have 2 light horizontally sliding sashes. The roof slopes down over the left hand bay which contains garage doors, suggesting a later loft over a carriage arch to the rear courtyard. (Photo May 2013).
