Cottage. Possibly C17, partly rebuilt C19. Render over rubble, upper storey 3 bays of
cottage rebuilt in brick and painted, stepped buttress left gable end with brick
offsets, thatched roof, brick stacks left gable end and C18 stack right at junction
with single storey extension, inserted brick stack abutting. Plan: 2-cell and cross
passage with outshut, agricultural wing at east end is single storey set below eaves
because the land rises steeply to west. Two storeys and one storey under same roof,
3:1 bays, 2 and 3-light wooden casements all with moulded brick sills, brick surrounds
to ground floor semi-circular headed window openings, entrance centre, plank door in
gabled porch, another beside inserted stack in former agricultural wing. Large raking
buttress on right return. Interior not seen. Listed primarily for group value.
