Woollen manufactory, now a storehouse. c1770. Brick, pantiled roof.
Central block with flanking lower wings in symmetrical arrangement.
Main block has 2 storeys, 3 bays, wings have 2 lower storeys and 3 bays:
bays defined by brick pilasters. Central door with taking-in door over,
small circular unglazed openings in flanking bays at ground and first
floor levels. Each wing has a door, a 4-pane window, and a circular
opening to the ground floor, 3 circular openings to first floor. Rear
elevation has 2 large oculi to first floor of main block, 2 small oculi
to first floor of wings, all blocked. Dentilled brick eaves cornice,
hipped roof to main block and wings with tumbled-in brick to half- -
gables. Main elevation obscured by adjoining buildings which are not of
special interest.
