House. Circa early C18. Painted cob walls over rubble footings with slate sills
and wooden lintels. Thatched roof with rendered chimneys over gable end. Thatched
roof over single storey C20 extension, left, and flat roof over single storey C20
extension right.
Originally 2 room plan with parlour left and much larger hall/kitchen, right, with
passage between leading to stair at rear. Extended C20 at either end.
Two storeys. Slightly irregular 2 window east of south front. Doorway, with C20
door and porch, left of middle. Ground floor window opening right of doorway
probably cut in the C20. Right hand opening has original 12-pane 2-light casement
with wide glazing bars. 12-pane 2-light casement at far left and later 4-pane
casements to 1st floor. Good cob texture front and rear.
Interior not inspected.
Situated overlooking Gillan Creek and with the village of St. Anthony in Meneage
opposite.
