- of Trenouth Farmhouse

Barn. C18. Granite rubble with granite quoins, partly slate-hung. Hipped slurried
scantle slate roof with ridge tiles.
Plan: Cow-house at ground floor, built into the bank at the rear with a loft at first
floor.
Exterior: 2 storeys, nearly symmetrical front, of 5 bays at ground floor; central
small round-arched window with dressed stone head, door to each side with dressed
stone head, single light with timber lintels; over each ground floor door, at ground
floor door, a larger loading door with timber lintel, one to right blocked. Left
side is slate-hung at upper level, above a string course, with a blocked loading door
to left. Right side is built into the bank, with loading door to left with granite
cill and timber lintel, ventilation slit above. The rear is built into the bank with
2 ventilation slits to left.
