School. 1865 by H Cockbain of Manchester. Coursed squared limestone with gritstone
dressings. Stone slate roof with stone coped gables and moulded kneelers. Stone
gable end stack and a gabled bellcote. Single storey to front, two storeys to rear.
Chamfered plinth. South elevation of two gabled bays. Right hand bay has a doorway
with moulded stone surround and four-centred head set within a square head. Plank
door. Hoodmould connected to a horizontal dripmould which extends over a single
light window on each side. Both have trefoil headed lights. Five light window
above with four-centred arch and trefoil headed lights. Clock above in moulded
stone surround. Left bay has a 5-light mullioned window with pointed cusped lights
under a flat head. Drip mould beneath the sill. Above is a statue in a niche
with projecting moulded surround with Gothic details. Buttresses at the angles.
