This picture was taken in November 2008 by the owner. The closest part to the viewer, in redder Jurassic dolomite stone, is the oldest 15th cetury portion. This is contiguous with the middle 16th century narrowest part of the building which itself leads on to the latest 16th century extension. The famous newel staircase is contained within the narrow tower-like construction of the youngest portion of the building.
