Bank barn converted for holiday accommodation. Circa mid C18 altered in 1980's.
Stone rubble. Slate roof with gable ends and deep overhanging eaves.
Plan: Built into bank with 2 storey elevation to front and single storey elevation to
rear. Probably shippons on the ground floor. Whilst the first floor was probably
used for threshing, there is no sign of opposing doors, the 3 doors all being on the
rear elevation, 1 with a draw-bar on the inside.
Exterior: 2 storey elevation altered in late C20. 6-window front with C20
fenestration. Ground floor with 3 door openings, 2 ventilation slits and 6 windows.
6 windows on first floor with row of pigeon holes.
Interior: Fine quality roof with principals halved, lapped and pegged at the apices,
the collars halved, lap-jointed and pegged.
A barn of considerable size situated to west of Lavethan.
