Laburnum Cottage

The description shall be amended to read
House. Early-mid C19, with later C19 addition and C20 alterations. Painted
stone rubble. Asbestos slate roof with ridge tiles and gable ends; gable
end stack to right and axial stack to left with rendered shafts.
Plan: 2-room plan with central entrance, each room heated from a gable end
stack. Probably later in the C19, a one-room plan addition was made at the
left end, so that the gable end stack became an axial stack. The addition has
an entrance directly into the room. A late C20 hipped wing, back left, and flat-
roofed garage at left gable end, are not of special interest.
Exterior: 2 storeys, asymmetrical 3-window front; first floor has three 16-pane
sashes with cambered heads, sash to left with timber lintel. At ground floor,
the three bays to right have central C20 glazed door and 16-pane sash to right
and left with flat brick arches. Bay to left has 16-pane sash with cambered
brick arch and C20 glazed door.
Left side blind.
Interior: Not inspected.
