slates to : William Thomas of Trengwainton, died 1781 aged 53, Robert, son and
Catherine, his wife, died 1780; William Bilkey, yeoman of Boscathnoe, died 1844 aged
61: Mary, wife of James Thomas, died 1812 aged 46, also Catherine William, their
daughter who was unfortunately shot in the CHURCHTOWN by a lad of the name of William
Knight, 2nd December 1816, aged 9 years; and 2 round-headed granite monoliths nearby
inscribed: WI and BM.
