House; one of a pair of attached houses. Circa late C17, with alterations and
additions of C19 and C20. Stone rubble and cob; rendered, roughcast and painted.
Thatched roof with gable ends. Gable end stack to left with rendered shaft.
Plan: Originally a one-room plan house, with entrance at the right end of the front
and room to left, heated from the gable end stack to left.
Exterior: 2 storeys, asymmetrical 2-window front. Ground floor has 2-light 8-pane
C19 casement with L hinges to left; blocked doorway to right with C20 2-light
casement inserted. First floor has C19 2-light 8-pane casement with L hinges to left
and later C19 4-pane sash to right. Left end blind, roughcast. At the rear there is
a single storey C20 addition; this conceals a doorway opposing the original front
door and 2-light 4-pane C20 casement.
