Large detached house. Early C19 with later addition. For William Brooke
(1764-1846). Ashlar. Hipped slate roof with 2 ashlar stacks and moulded eaves
cornice. Two storeys. Sill band to ground and first floors. Garden front: 5 bays of
sashes with glazing bars, the central three forming 2 storey canted bay. Entrance
front: 3 bays. Central door with round fanlight. Doric portico with frieze, cornice
and blocking course. Sashes with glazing bars. To rear is later 2 storey extension
in keeping. Interior said to have ornmental cast iron staircase balustrade. 'The
