Large detached house. Circa 1820. For William Brooke (1764-1846). Ashlar. Slate
roof, hipped to west. Two storeys. First floor sill band. Plinth. Ashlar stacks.
Gable copings. Moulded eaves cornice with blocking course. Entrance front (west):
3 bays of sashes with glazing bars. Central porch with fluted columns with "Tower of
the Winds" capitals, full dentilled entablature of blocking course. Garden front
(south): central single storey canted bay. Two storey canted bay to right. Sash
windows, 5 to first floor with glazing bars. Interior said to have 6-panel doors,
panelled window shutters, staircase with cast iron balustrade and shaped stone steps.
