Circa 1800 plain 2-storey house with attached single-storey cottage (part of
Low Royd). The latter formerly a lodge to Royds Hall. Irregularly coursed
sandstone "brick" with large flush quoins. Stone slate roof with corniced
chimneys. Two-storey link with former lodge added circa 1840-50, bracketed
flat eaves. Two light square mullion windows in squared surrounds. Square
jamb doorways. The former lodge has a hipped stone slate roof. Three light
square mullion windows to rear elevation.
