Western Gate Piers to Warmsworth Hall

A Grade II Listed Building in Warmsworth, Doncaster

The western gate piers at Warmsworth hall

The gates have been unused for at least the last 70 years. British Ropes (later Bridon) used the hall as its "Internation HQ" and constructed an entry off the A690 through the curtain walls. This prevented the small village of Warmsworth from becoming a "traffic hortpot". The Hall and grounds are now a part of the Holiday Inn chain of hotels with a purpose built hotel. The hall and remaining buildings are used as a Conference Centre and a " fitness suite respectively. The barbed wire on top of the wooden gates is not of any historical importance.
