KIRKBY KIRKBY LANE NZ 50 NW West side 4/157 The Cottages: Cleveland House II GV

House, one of an irregular row. Probably mid-late C18. Coursed, herringbone-tooled sandstone; pantile roof with stone ridge, copings, kneelers and stacks. 2 builds. 2 storeys; 2-window right part; 3-window left part, the left bay over a segmental carriage arch. 6-panel door top glazed, in open gabled wood porch immediately to left of junction. Yorkshire sashes with glazing bars except for modern casements at ground floor right. Windows in right part under extended keyed lintels; all have stone cills. Roof has copings and corniced stacks at junction and right end; large curved kneelers. 1-storey rear wing ends in coach house-dovecot with pyramidal roof and large diagonal kneelers.
