House, now museum. 1696 on datestone; raised and sub-divided in early C19.
Coursed, squared stone; brick upper courses in stretcher bond; all
whitewashed. Pantile roof. Bases of brick stacks. 3-cell hearth-passage
plan until subdivision into 2 cottages. 2-storey, 3-window front. Original
doorway to right of centre beneath datestone, crudely carved with a coat of
arms and inscribed: '1696'. To left of centre is the later,

inserted, door under a rectangular, divided fanlight. To left of the
original door is a firewindow with blocked round head under drip mould.
3-light, large-paned horizontal sliding sashes to ground floor. Similar
2-light windows to first floor. Original door and ground floor window to
right have thin timber lintels. End and right of centre stacks.
