GV II

House. C17 timber frame, altered and refronted c1820 with
colourwashed brick. Slate roof.
2 storeys; 3-window range. Central 6-panelled door, the upper
two panels glazed. Doorcase with reeded segmental pilasters
supporting frieze with corner paterae and hood. One 8/8
unhorned sash right and left, 3 similar sashes to first floor,
that in centre a 6/6 sash. Rendered gauged skewback arches
over windows and keyblocks. Gabled roof. Internal gable-end
stack to south. 2 stacks to rear roof slope.
INTERIOR: little of timber frame apparent. 6-panelled doors.
Stick-baluster staircase with ramped handrail. Kitchen with
c1800 fireplace. Rafter and purlin roof of c1820. Former
exterior wall of north gable with remains of pargeting visible
from roof of adjacent house.
