II

Two houses, now united. Early C17, converted to one house C20.
Plastered and colourwashed timber frame. Thatched roof. Lobby
entrance plan.
2 storeys. 4-window range. Entrance front to south. C20 plank
door in centre flanked by two 2- and 3-light early C20
casements with glazing bars. 4 similar single- and 2-light
first-floor casements, the two to east being late C19. Gabled
roof with ridge stack. North front with two late C18 sliding
casements to first floor.
INTERIOR: frame of moderate scantling, with jowled principal
posts. Wide brick fireplace retains some C17 brickwork. Winder
staircases at east and west ends. First floor with one blocked
3-light diamond mullioned window to north side. Clasped purlin
roof.
