Formerly known as: Kiln Farmhouse CRANLEY GREEN ROAD.
Farmhouse. Early C17 with c1800 front range. Plastered timber
frame on tarred brick plinth. Rear wing of whitewashed brick
laid in Flemish bond. Slate (front), plaintile (rear) roofs.
2 storeys. 3-window range. Central 6-panelled and fielded door
with 4-vaned fanlight. Timber doorcase with hood. One C19
3-light casement either side, and 3 similar first-floor
casements, that to centre of 2 lights only. Gabled roof with
internal gable-end stacks. 2-storey rear outshut.
INTERIOR: open-well c1800 staircase of stick balusters and
rasp-moulded handrail. Panelled and fielded doors; 2-panelled
cupboard doors on first floor. Cast-iron birdnest fire grates,
that to west on first floor with bolection-moulded surround.
Rear wing with clasped purlin roof and diminished principals.
