TF 1409-1509 MARKET DEEPING HIGH STREET
(north side)

G.V. II

House and gateways. Early C18, refronted early C19. Squared
limestone rubble, ashlar quoins and dressings. Collyweston slate
roof, raised stone coped gables, 2 stone gable stacks with
moulded cornices. L-plan. 2 storey plus attics, 3 bay front,
plain plinth, 2 flush bands moulded cornice and panelled parapet.
Central panelled door with plain overlight, panelled reveals,
covered by a Tuscan portico, with columns in antis having a plain
frieze with moulded cornice, flanked by single glazing bar
sashes. To first floor are 3 similar windows, the central one of
which has moulded stone architrave. In the roof are 2 gabled
dormers with leaded cheeks. To the left a segmental archway with
planked double doors and moulded imposts, having columns in
antis. Above is a moulded cornice and panelled parapet with ball
finials. To right a pair of square gate piers with moulded
cornices and coped tops.
