Chapel. Dated '1864 WESLEYAN CHAPEL RE ERECTED' on plaque. Coursed limestone
rubble and ashlar. One galleried storey. Gable to street with rusticated
quoins, moulded cornice with dentil enrichment and stepped pediment
terminating with shaped finial and side ball finials. Ashlar band between
floors; round headed stone arched entrance with rising keystone and moulded
jambs, plain tympanum and double panelled doors. Flanking ground floor
windows with wooden Y-tracery and original leaded lights; three larger first
floor windows. Interior: Fittings complete with gallery to north end
approached by one staircase. Cast iron railings and gate piers with double
gates and pierced lower panels possibly made at Hayes iron foundry Elton.
