Detached cottage. Late C17. Dressed limestone, tiled roof,
formerly thatched, with coped verges and gable end brick stacks.
Two-storey, 3-window. Central gabled stone porch with coped verge
with cross finial, planked door, 3-light recessed chamfered
mullioned casement either side. First floor has 3-light mullioned
casement either side of 2-light mullioned casement; all casements
are leaded. Left return has lean-to extension with single leaded
casement. Right return has 2-light mullioned casement to attic.
Rear with central planked door and single-light casement to first
floor over door.
Interior has blocked open fireplace with cambered chamfered lintel
on stone jambs, chamfered beams, barrel vaulted passage beside
fireplace between extension and main house. First floor has deep
chamfered beams, moulded panelling, probably early C18 to passage,
plank and muntin beside stairs, now covered.
