Barn and stables with hayloft over, now used as part garage and part storage.
Late C18. Stables are brick with old tile roof. Barn is timber framed with
part weatherboarded and part brick infill walls; old tile half hipped roof.
L-plan with barn of 5 framed bays with central midstrey on west and stables of 6
bays adjoining on west. Stables: one and a half storeys. Dentilled eaves
course. Central gabled hayloft with plank door; a 7-light opening below this
with diamond mullions and a large plank door and similar 7-light opening to
right of centre. To left of centre a large plank door with fretted overboard
for pigeon entry. C20 garage doors on left end. Interior: barn has a queen
post roof with additional queen struts and clasped purlins; curved windbraces.
Jowled posts. Stables have arched braced roof with purlins trenched on arch
braces. Horse stands and troughs on ground floor.
