5/28 The Cottage

House. Late C16 hall house with C17 chimney inserted. 2 timber framed bays
in original hall now floored, with 2 framed bay service end. Old tile roof
with half hip on south gable. 2 storeys. Some original framing on west wall
but replaced with colour washed brick on other walls. C20 leaded windows, one
angled bay window on ground floor and C20 entrance door on east front.
C20 extension on north end with flanking chimney. Interior has many sooted timbers
in roof.
