4 chest tombs. Mid - late C18th and early C19th. Ashlar. (1) 1818. Mary
Pontin. Plain side panels with inscribed top. (2) 1779, Ponting family.
Inscribed hexagonal and shield panels; panelled corner and central pilasters
with paterae. (1) and (2) are surrounded by a low ashlar wall. (3) 17..
(illegible) probably late C18th. Inscribed shield panels; pilasters decorated
with foliage, sinceau and paterae; entablature. (4) 1820, Deans and Withs.
Plain with inscribed top. The chest tombs represent a good collection of
classical and traditional local tomb forms and contribute to the setting of the
church.
